Billion-dollar Brazil tourism looks solid after 6% growth

Even with fewer direct flights bringing Brazilian visitors to Miami as Avianca ceased its non-stop service, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau is optimistic that 2019 will be a good year for tourism from Brazil, which sends a more than $1 billion in visitor spending to Miami each year.

Despite previous fluctuations, Brazil has been for decades one of the biggest tourism partners for Miami, and the latest airport numbers available indicate that it will maintain its high-ranking position.
