Some Miami Beach garages may be built taller

The Historic Preservation Board of Miami Beach now has the discretion to allow new parking garages to be built up to 75 feet tall instead of 50 feet in the historic district, under a city ordinance passed Dec. 12.
There are conditions, however: the garage must be a minimum of five stories of parking and a minimum of 250 spaces. There is also a minimum setback of 75 feet from Collins Avenue and Washington Avenue for a building above 50 feet in height…To read the full story click here
