Miami Beach youth council gets 90-day retirement reprieve

Miami Beach’s Next Generation Council has 90 days to turn around its threatened retirement. Commissioners unanimously deferred action focused on shutting down the council, which helps young residents participate in city government.
Mayor Steven Meiner sponsored the item, with Commissioner David Suarez as co-sponsor.
