Autonomous vehicle plan targets micro-mobility transit links

A series of demonstration programs meant to gauge residents’ willingness to use self-driving shuttles and other alternative mobility modes to travel to and from transit stations may soon come to Miami-Dade.
County lawmakers this week were to have reviewed a resolution that would accept $780,000 from the Knight Foundation to fund autonomous vehicle (AV) demonstration projects, micro-mobility alternatives and related community outreach efforts.
