Amy Furness: As chair, leading new branding at Greater Miami Chamber

Amy Furness was installed as chair of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce in June. She leads the chamber’s board of directors, made up of volunteer members who represent businesses of all sizes and several industries. Her term is one year, ending next summer.

Ms. Furness has worked with the chamber in numerous capacities over the years. She has served on the board of directors and co-chaired the Senior Executive Orientation Program from 2016 until 2020, when she joined the executive committee. She is also an experienced trial lawyer and shareholder at Carlton Fields. 

At the chamber’s 2023 Goals Conference and Annual Meeting, Ms. Furness outlined her vision. During her time as chair, she hopes to advance three goals from the chamber’s strategic plan: improving engagement with members, collaborating with education and innovation communities, and providing practical resources for small businesses. 

She spoke with Miami Today reporter Genevieve Bowen.
