Related Group alters Terminal Island plan amid Coast Guard talks

Safety concerns arose at the City of Miami Beach’s discussion of One Island Park on Terminal Island. The condo’s developer, Related Group, says it is determined to solve potential issues.
At the city’s Land Use and Development meeting, the Related Group gave no hint of withdrawing from its plans for a 90-unit residential tower on Terminal Island. The prospective condominium would share the area with the Fisher Island ferry, Florida Power and Light substation, the Miami Beach Fleet Management facility, and, across an accessible bridge, the US Coast Guard. The Related Group still has sufficient space for a tower that soars more than 400 feet. The lowest-priced unit would sell for $5 million.
