Miami moves to build fire-training center

Miami commissioners have taken the first step to build a new training facility for the fire department and bringing much-needed affordable housing to the West Grove.
The commission last week on a resolution by Vice Chairman Ken Russell directed City Manager Daniel Alonso to request development proposals for affordable housing on the current site of the city’s fire college.
