Mayor Levine Cava targets economy, climate, animal shelters

A strong economy, the infrastructure, climate resilience, public safety and overpopulation at county animal shelters are Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava’s five top challenges for 2024, she told Miami Today this week, the day before her State of the County address.
“Building an economy that works for everyone,” the mayor said in a written statement, “from growing the supply of affordable housing, to providing scholarships for higher education, making it easier for small businesses to grow, and supporting local business and innovation through the Miami-Dade Innovation Authority.”
