Manny Medina offers insight into Miami as a tech hub

Education, hard work, perseverance, and the sacrifice of his parents who came from Cuba with nothing to their names allowed Manuel (Manny) D. Medina, one of South Florida’s most renowned tech entrepreneurs and founders, to build a global business from Miami.

Miami is truly the land of opportunity, said Mr. Medina, who is chairman and CEO of cybersecurity software Cyxtera Technologies and founder of cybersecurity-focused equity firm Medina Capital, after building and then selling his first company, Terremark, a global IT firm headquartered in Miami. He also founded and is the chairman of the board of eMerge Americas tech conference.
