Downtown Miami cites needs, frets over police cuts

The City of Miami is approaching annual budget time, and Miami’s Downtown Development Authority is making its bid to get needs met downtown.
“We’re preparing, with staff, a list of things we need downtown,” said Alyce Robertson, authority executive director. “We experienced a burst of growth during the condo boom from 2003 to 2008, but the services didn’t come along with that.”
