Tere Blanca: Commercial realty firm founder eyes growth, projects ahead

In 2009, Tere Blanca founded Blanca Commercial Real Estate Inc. after identifying a need in the marketplace for a local advisory and brokerage firm built on a culture of giving clients a highly personalized approach to service.

Ms. Blanca says with her vision, progressive leadership and commitment to excellence, teams are purpose-built, and innovative strategies are customized to deliver powerful outcomes for the firm’s clients, while giving back to the communities it serves.

Blanca Commercial Real Estate now has a diverse team of more than 50 top-driven professionals across three offices in Southeast Florida, she said. The firm is recognized as one of the top commercial real estate brokerage services firms in Florida and has sustained since 2016 a 30% market share of Class A and B office lease transactions in Miami.

Throughout her career, Ms. Blanca has participated in and led many notable lease transactions and new development projects from land acquisition to master planning, design, construction, marketing, lease-up, and sale of office and mixed-use assets, advising global and local investors, developers, and companies requiring office and industrial space.

Before launching her firm, Ms. Blanca served for six years as senior managing director for Cushman & Wakefield of Florida, where she led the firm’s South Florida region, achieving significant revenue growth and increased profitability. She also served as the senior vice president at Codina Realty Services Inc., ONCOR International, where she was consistently among the top producers during her 14-year tenure.

As South Florida continues to attract national attention and investment, Ms. Blanca said she remains bullish on the region’s prospects.

“Tenants today are looking for more than just office space – they want wellness amenities, vibrant food and beverage options, flexible workspaces, and access to nature,” she said. “It’s about delivering spaces where employees feel energized and connected.”

Ms. Blanca spoke with Miami Today reporter Abraham Galvan.

This week’s profile will appear in next year’s Book of Leaders.
