With new hotels rising, hotel association to add developers council

The Greater Miami and the Beaches Hotel Association is forming a developers’ council to be announced in September, as Miami continues to perform excellently in hotel average daily rates and new developments with more than 8,000 additional rooms projected to come into the market over the next year three years.
A recent report by STR showed that Miami, alongside markets such as Nashville and Phoenix, has received increased interests from developers. Miami has had the highest number of hotel rooms in the planning phase as a percentage of existing supply at 15.8%, with 10,177 rooms as of July 22.
