Newcomer testing driverless cars in Miami

The road to reality for driverless cars has proved to be rocky after several startups sustained quarterly losses and ultimately sputtered out, but despite challenges, a new company is testing its autonomous vehicles on Miami’s streets.
As technology advances and regulatory approval expands, self-driving cars could soon be a regular sight on the roadways, but more testing is needed to improve safety. While Ford Motor Co. and Volkswagen AG’s pioneer program, Argo AI, which tested early prototypes in Miami, has since run out of steam, other companies like Waymo and Cruise have been using the city as a test bed.
