Nearly 100,000 boat show visitors generated nearly $1 billion

The 2022 Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show generated just under a billion dollars for the state of Florida during its five-day event, with about $158 million for Miami-Dade County and nearly 100,000 visitors.

The International Boat Show event, which took place Feb. 16-20 at the Miami Beach Convention Center and Pride Park, One Herald Plaza, the Sea Isle Marina and Museum Park Marina, and the IGY Yacht Haven Grande at Island Gardens, generated $955 million in economic output to the state including all purchases and expenditures, according to an economic activity report by Thomas J. Murray and Associates for Informa Markets.
