Miami-Dade’s unemployment level nation’s lowest

Miami-Dade County had the lowest November unemployment among the nation’s 38 metropolitan divisions at 1.5%, according to a Bureau of Labor Statistics report released last week, and the larger Miami Metropolitan Area had the lowest unemployment in Florida at 2.1%.

The 38 metropolitan divisions are separately identifiable employment centers in the nation’s most populous metropolitan centers. Locally, that hub is Miami-Dade County. Among the nation’s 389 metropolitan areas, ours covers Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
