Miami Beach to ask large employers to stagger work shifts

Miami Beach commissioners have directed the administration to convene a meeting with large city employers to discuss staggering work shifts to reduce traffic congestion.

“There is a finite amount of what we can do to improve traffic,” said Commissioner Tanya K. Bhatt at a March meeting. “We can’t mandate everybody onto scooters, we cannot build additional roads. We can’t control all the roads at our main thoroughfares because they’re county or state roads.”
