Miami Beach backing out of its deal to fund Homeless Trust

Miami Beach officials have set aside $2 million previously ticketed for a deal with the county’s Homeless Trust and instead use it for services to homeless in the city, including future programs.
Commissioners shifted the allocation last month as they discussed renegotiating an agreement between the city and the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust and contributing $1 million instead of $2 million. They wound up allocating nothing at all to the trust.
