Electric scooters, dockless bikes to keep rolling in Coral Gables

Coral Gables is taking the next steps with its dockless bike and electric scooter pilot programs with two companies: Spin and Bird. The pilot programs with both providers were extended Tuesday and will continue until city staff releases requests for proposals (RFPs) after the end of the state legislative session in the early spring.

City staff recommended that only one vendor eventually be chosen to operate in the city and there be a cap on the number of scooters and bikes allowed in the city.
