Beach intrusion alarms could trigger new series of fines

Residents in Miami Beach with an equipped intrusion alarm will be required to calibrate motion detectors that generate response in order to avoid being punished, the city commission decided unanimously last week. A final vote is due in June.
The ordinance was previously referred to the March 20 Public Safety and Neighborhood Quality of Life Committee meeting.
