Affordable housing pulled from Beach’s ballet dorm plan

Rising construction costs and labor shortages factor into a temporary suspension of affordable housing in the Collins Park workforce housing project in South Beach, which had promised at least 40 affordable housing units and a dormitory for the Miami City Ballet.
City commissioners last week unanimously amended the ground lease agreement to remove a requirement for the affordable units.
