25 mph speed limit proposed for unincorporated residential areas

Citing a growth of dangerous speeding cut-through traffic that endangers pedestrians, a county committee this week is looking at lowering speed limits to 25 miles per hour in unincorporated areas on all residential roads and near all county parks.
The resolution would ask Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava to investigate whether lowering those speed limits is reasonable and how feasible it is to accomplish.
