13 firms vie to design a forward-looking mobility hub

Coral Gables is working its way toward breaking ground on a futuristic new mobility hub at the site of the dilapidated city owned Garage 1 at 245 Andalusia Ave.
According to Vice Mayor Vince Lago, city officials are envisioning a state-of-the-art facility that will last at least 75 years, and as such the building’s design will reflect the possibility for evolving transportation needs including the increased use of public transportation and ridesharing, growing popularity of electric vehicles and possibility of self-driving cars.
