Coral Gables honors Miami Today

In a proclamation from Coral Gables Mayor Vince Lago, the City of Coral Gables proclaimed May 9, 2023, as “Miami Today Day in Coral Gables” in recognition of the news medium’s first 40 years. “Miami Today has provided an important voice and perspective to the business community and delves into issues important to Coral Gables residents and businesses,” Mayor Lago’s proclamation states. The proclamation cites Miami Today’s “objective viewpoint” in its print edition, digital replica, and website. The proclamation was presented as the first item on the agenda of the city commission meeting. Publisher and Editor Michael Lewis and Vice President Carmen Betancourt-Lewis accept the proclamation on behalf of the entire Miami Today team.
