Demand for Uber, Lyft rises in tandem with vaccination rate

As vaccinations continue to roll out, ridesharing demand for Uber and Lyft has quickly increased and returned at high-traffic hotspots like the Miami International Airport.
In February, ride-app ridership at MIA was down 56% year-over-year but increased with a total of 344,110 pickups/drop-offs compared to last year’s 150,690, which is an improvement from ridership being down 61% this past December, according to Greg Chin, the airport’s communications and digital marketing director.
