Recent Federal Immigration Efforts have reduced MDC Bus and MetroRail ridership. Increasing MetroRail ridership maybe accomplish by improving passanger experience, providing better preventive maintenance of elevators and escalators, cleaning windows of cars and elevators, relocating unhoused sleeping in cars, advertising upcoming events, festivals, museums, farmers markets and such, on car monitors and at each station. Let’s hope that the new Electric Bus Service to Homestead and Florida City will be immensely popular in order to help motivate the extension of MetroRail south.
