Bay Harbor Islands to paint the town in festival
The Town of Bay Harbor Islands is commemorating its 75th anniversary with a hometown celebration and inauguration of a two-day arts festival.
Starting Feb. 4, The Bay Harbor Islands Arts Festival will exhibit along Kane Concourse and showcase art from all genres. The weekend-long festival is expected to attract more than 10,000 attendees and features more than 60 local artists, dining stations, children’s activities and interactive fun zones.
The arts and culture celebration will feature artistic displays including mixed media, ceramics, digital, glass, photography and oil paintings. Visitors will also enjoy a high school art exhibit, a children’s art area, and a musical stage featuring performances by regional arts groups and organizations, said Josh Fuller, mayor of Bay Harbor Islands.
The Bay Harbor Islands Art Festival is free and open to the public.
“This celebration showcases the area’s respected artists while highlighting our charming downtown, glistening waterways, and our vibrant diverse community,” Mayor Fuller added. “We anticipate it will become one of Bay Harbor Islands’ most cherished annual events.
