IT firm Kaseya adds signage atop its third Brickell building

Amid an influx of tech-centric innovations in Miami, IT powerhouse Kaseya has expanded its headquarters by leasing three floors of office space at 800 Brickell.

Kaseya, which is a provider, designer and developer of unified IT management and security software for managed service providers and small to mid-size businesses, is expanding its Miami presence. It also has 35,000 square feet at 701 Brickell Ave. and 66,000 at 777 Brickell Ave.

According to Colliers research, the vacancy rate for Class A office properties hovered at 9.6 % in the first quarter of 2022, while asking rental rates increased 35% year-over-year, ending at $81.19 per square foot.

The IT company has offices in more than 20 nations, with nearly half of its new workforce to be based in Miami. Kaseya will have building top signage visible from the corner of Eighth Street and Brickell Avenue and brings 800 Brickell to 97% leased.

Miami’s technology sector has grown swiftly over the last two years, leading to a massive demand for talent to fill vacant roles, said Fred Voccola, Kaseya’s CEO. The IT company has had its US headquarters in Miami since 2004 and plans to hire 400 persons for roles in sales, R&D, customer and product support and finance.

“Kaseya continues to grow exponentially, and we are excited to further expand our footprint in Brickell with this additional space to accommodate our burgeoning workforce,” he said. “This deal is extra special for us, as the building will have Kaseya branding proudly displayed for the thousands of people who travel through downtown every day to see. We are committed to Miami and contributing to its tech renaissance and are excited to have our brand prominently represented on the building as part of the Brickell corridor.”

In April, Kaseya teamed up with Florida International University to create a workforce pipeline that trains students for jobs in technology and helps Kaseya fill multiple positions across the company.

As part of the partnership, Kaseya will advise on the FIU academic curriculum through active participation on college advisory boards to ensure both technological and soft skills are being incorporated.
