Local art galleries, fairs, pop-ups and installations are giving a new meaning to art throughout South Florida during Art Basel, Miami Art Week.

As the most prominent and emerging artists prepare to showcase their craft, art culture seekers will be on the search for the best events in town.

Here are some events, exhibits and performances you wouldn’t dare to miss out on.

Art Basel Miami Beach

Art Basel Miami features over 200 of the world’s leading international modern and contemporary art galleries display artworks by over 4,000 artists, including paintings, sculptures, installations, photography, film, video and digital art. 3 p.m. Dec, 5-8. Art Miami

In its 30th year, Art Miami features investment quality work, solo shows and engaging installation from more than 250 international contemporary galleries. Party Hop with Artists in the Design District

The Miami Design District will be a hot spot where art, nightlife and entertainment come together to draw art lovers from around the globe.

Markowicz Fine Art Gallery showcases new collections of wildlife sculptures from French sculptor Richard Orlinski, hyperrealistic bronze sculptures of swimmers and divers by Carole Feuerman, Bigfoot sculptures from Idan Zareski, cement art from Kai, photographs of endangered species from photographer Arno Elias, and inventive and stylized photography that explores the uncanny from Formento + Formento. 11 a.m. Dec. 6. 110 NE 40th St. Miami. A “VIP Special Book Signing,” featuring Carole Feuerman and Formento + Formento will also be at Markowicz Fine Art Gallery. Design Miami

Miami River Art Fair

Basel House Mural Festival

The 7th Annual “Basel House Mural Festival” is where street art, eclectic music, innovative unique vendors and new-age art installations from across the globe come together. Art Pop-up, Music and Culture at the Mondrian South Beach

The Mondrian South Beach will host an immersive four-day celebration of the arts, fashion, music and culture. This excursion will feature over 25 artists. Artists include Richrd Orlinski, Yasiin Beyand Robert Glasper. Throughout the weekend curator Omar Victorious will present “You’re Not Welcome“ featuring work from international artists ranging from the likes of UncuttArt to Erin Ko. UNTITLED, Art Miami Beach

Untitled, Art Miami Beach returns for its 8th edition and focuses on curatorial balance and integrity across all disciplines of contemporary art. NADA Miami

Red Dot Miami, Pinta Miami and Spectrum Miami

A Night of Jewelry Exhibit and Trunk Show at Villa Azur

Bahamian Art and MUSE Art Fair at Gates Hotel South Beach

The Gates Hotel South Beach teams up with MUSE Modern & Contemporary Art Fair to showcase art by female Bahamian artists and multicultural artists from the Caribbean. Exhibition Receptions at the Sagamore Hotel

Artist Kai at InterContinental Miami

InterContinental Miami will partner with global artist Kai, who is known for his single-frame storytelling and use of cement. PULSE Art Fair

PULSE Art Fair celebrates its 15th year anniversary in Miami.
