Profile: Margaret Callihan

Margaret Callihan has been with SunTrust bank for 36 years, and has no plans to leave any time soon. 

What differentiates SunTrust from other banking institutions, she says, is that SunTrust is more than a place to put wealth, it’s the bank with a plan to get you where you want to go, whether you’re a small business looking to grow or a billion-dollar business looking to sell. 

But Ms. Callihan didn’t get into banking right out of college. There was an interim year at the Country Music Foundation in Nashville, and while she left that behind, she still finds time to get involved with arts and music organizations wherever she calls home.

Miami Today Reporter Nina Lincoff interviewed Ms. Callihan at her Fort Lauderdale office.
