Before Night Falls

Florida Grand Opera presents “Before Night Falls,” based on the memoir of Cuban poet Reinaldo Arenas, the play follows Arenas’ life from childhood poverty in the Cuban countryside to his emigration to the United States in the 1980 Mariel boatlift, and his last decade in New York City. 7 p.m. The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, 1300 Biscayne Blvd., Miami.
