Wynwood picked for student urban design competition

The Urban Land Institute announced this week that it has selected Wynwood as the site for its prestigious Hines Student Urban Design Competition, a national initiative involving students from some of the country’s top universities. “The competition is bringing teams of students from across the US and Canada to share their ideas for a transit-oriented development located at the intersection of the four neighborhoods,” a release said.
The selection was motivated in part by the much-rumored possibility that a Tri-Rail station might be built in the Wynwood or Midtown areas.
