World Trade Center Miami shifts CEO, plans expansions

The nonprofit World Trade Center Miami – a producer of two major trade shows, a global trade magnet and a link to more than 300 such centers globally – has changed presidents after almost a third of a century under a single leader with the aim of a new growth spurt.

Ivan Barrios, 53, who began his career with the center 30 years ago and has been its vice president since 2015, was unanimously elevated to president last week by the 20-member board of directors, Chairman Roberto Muñoz confirmed. Mr. Barrios replaces Charlotte Gallogly, a fixture in the trade community who joined the organization in 1987 as president.
