A discussion over expanding how cities can use half-penny-funded transportation services like Freebee and Lyft last week dragged up the sore subject of unkept promises tied to the tax.
At the center of the conversation: an ordinance that, if approved, would remove almost all limits on how cities can operate the services, allowing for trips across municipal boundaries and to anywhere within five miles.
