University of Miami a drug-testing hot spot

On any given day investigators at University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine are conducting over 1,000 studies of new drugs, treatments and social phenomena concerning conditions from cancer to Covid.
According to Executive Dean of Research Carl Schulman, the school became an in-demand site for Covid-related research this year after Miami emerged as a hotspot for the virus.
