Uber, Lyft settle county’s citations for 56 cents on dollar

After more than a year of negotiations, Miami-Dade commissioners have accepted settlement payments from Uber and Lyft for thousands of citations issued over two years of illegal operations.
Between May 2014 and May 2016, when commissioners passed an ordinance to legalize the rideshare services throughout the county, drivers working for the two San Francisco-based companies accrued 4,468 citations totaling over $4.5 million…To read the full story click here
