Transit modes beyond Metrorail now weighed for North Corridor

Decision-makers have OK’d tweaking language in a pending bid request so that transit modes other than Metrorail can be considered for the North Corridor of Miami-Dade’s Smart Plan.
The Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) Governing Board – comprised of all 13 county commissioners, eight municipal representatives and a school board member – approved the move Feb. 20 through a resolution by Commissioner Barbara Jordan.
