Three sectors in Miami-Dade add jobs through the pandemic

Unemployment in Miami-Dade County eased to its lowest level during the Covid-19 economic crisis in November, even though the number of persons working in the county was 68,000 fewer than a year earlier, data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics show.
In November, 7.4% of the county’s workforce was unemployed, a big improvement from the 8.7% unemployed in October and the lowest unemployment rate in Miami-Dade since 3.8% last March, at the start of the pandemic. The unemployment figure had been as high as 14.5% in July.
