Review board challenges ‘weak’ Art in Public Places rules

For more than two years, City of Miami officials have worked on establishing an Art in Public Places ordinance that requires private developers to provide artwork as part of their projects or pay into a special public art fund.
Related rules were enacted in January 2017 when city commissioners approved legislation governing art in public places in public projects.
