Residential zoning OK’d for city administrative hub site

As the kinks of the lease agreement for the City of Miami’s riverside property continue to be straightened out, a city board gave the thumbs up to a necessary rezoning of the more than 3 acres of land.
The Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board recommended approval to the Miami City Commission by a 6-1 vote for a pair of zoning changes. Among the changes, the legislation would explicitly allow for residential units on the city-owned property by the Miami River, located on 444 and 460 SW Second Ave.
