Replacing senior housing with mixed-income units backed

The Miami River Commission on Monday gave its blessing to River Parc at 1407 NW Seventh St., an ambitious plan to replace obsolete public senior units with mixed-income housing and a host of private and public amenities, including walkways along the Miami River, parks, paseos, a gym, and a restaurant.
According to renderings by Related Urban Development Group, the affordable housing arm of the Related Cos., most of the residential buildings would be set closer to Northwest Seventh Street, allowing open access to the river, which runs along the northern boundary.
