Replacement near for 90-year-old First Street Bridge

Replacement of Miami’s 90-year-old First Street Bridge, begun just over two years ago, is expected to be finished by the end of this year from a new version of the busy bridge and a key link of the Miami Greenway as well.
In May 2019, the Florida Department of Transportation began work on removing and replacing the bridge, connecting Southwest First Street from Seventh to Second avenues.
