Written by Miami Today on August 21, 2017
The Miami Arts & Entertainment Council invites Miami artists, art students, up-and-coming artists and art aficionados to participate in the sixth annual art competition, “Paint Me Miami.”
It’s an open competition where all artists working in two-dimensional painting media are eligible to enter if they meet the criteria. All work must be original and completed within the past two years and must not have won any previous prize or award.
This year’s competition focuses on paintings inspired by a scene within the boundaries of the City of Miami. Submitted work must be representational and portray the sites and feeling of the city. Winners will be named Sept. 2 at the Little Haiti Cultural Center, 260 NE 59th Terrace.
