Museum Park, Biscayne Green put off-limits for car race

Though they are not directly involved in negotiations with the principals of Formula One, a company that is interested in bringing a race to Miami, directors of Miami’s Downtown Development Authority have come up with a list of “third-rail” issues they would like to have respected.
“They need to understand the non-starters,” said authority board member Jerome Hollo, vice president of Florida East Coast Reality. The top three: No use of Museum Park for any race activities; no physical changes that would interfere with Biscayne Green (the authority’s plan to make Biscayne Boulevard a grand promenade); and no changes that would harm Miami Walk (formerly called Baywalk/Riverwalk), a plan for a pedestrian walkway and bike path along Biscayne Bay from Brickell to Margaret Pace Park in Edgewater…To read the full story click here
