Miracle Mile hotel wins OK to shift development rights

220 Miracle Mile, Terranova Corp.’s proposed new hotel and retail complex at Miracle Mile and Ponce de Leon Boulevard in Coral Gables, on Tuesday won the right to transfer development rights from another property, but it still appears to have a long battle ahead.

The Coral Gables commission voted (3 to 2, with Vice Mayor Vince Lago and Commissioner Jorge L. Fors Jr. dissenting) to allow the proposed project to assume development rights from a historic property, also on Miracle Mile. The transfer will come before the city commission again for final approval.
