Miami set to cut millage rate, though tax revenue would rise

The proposed overall millage rate in the City of Miami, used to calculate property tax bills, would mean a reduction for the new fiscal year that begins Oct. 1.
The city commission is to set the proposed overall millage rate for fiscal year 2019-20 at 7.99 mills, down from the current 8.03 mills, when it meets today (7/25).
