Miami rolls out its red carpet for foreign guests

Greater Miami is depending on international travel to get back to pre-pandemic tourism levels after last year’s surge in domestic travel.
Miami Beach’s hotel occupancy rate stood at 47.3% at the end of September, compared to 54% in 2019, with a 15.3-point increase since last year. Its revenue per available room, RevPAR, is at $120.96, compared to $97.48 in 2019. US hotel total occupancy was 61.8% Sept. 30 compared to 68.2% in 2019.
