Miami probes how large-scale developments link to resilience

With a provision of the City of Miami’s zoning code that allows for large-scale developments under the microscope, a city committee has examined what such developments offer when considering the city’s effort to be more resilient.
Members of the Climate Resilience Committee provided their input on the ongoing conversation on Special Area Plans (SAPs), considering what the developments offer to a city increasingly pressured to become more resilient. The committee’s duties include recommending changes to the city’s code that account for Miami’s resiliency and evaluating issues related to waterfront properties.
