Miami parking income could vanish completely with Covid-19

Like many local governments, the financial outlook for the agency that manages parking in the City of Miami is bleak because of Covid-19.
The Miami Parking Authority saw about $250,000 in on-street parking revenues in April, the first full month since the pandemic led to a closure of non-essential businesses across Miami, said Scott Simpson, the agency’s chief financial officer, who shared the early numbers at an authority board meeting last week.
