Miami International Boat Show to pick up where Super Bowl leaves off

When the 79th Miami International Boat Show opens Feb. 13, 11 days after Super Bowl LIV, it will mark “two fantastic events within two weeks,” Larry Berryman, boat show director, told the Downtown Development Authority’s Urbanism Committee Friday. “What a win-win for Miami!” The show runs until Feb. 17.
He said show organizers expect nearly 100,000 attendees from 63 countries and 17 Caribbean nations, which will generate $854 million in economic impact, including sales taxes generated when sales are made at the show. Locally, businesses should expect $49 million in revenue and 100,000 hotel rooms to be filled, he said.
