Miami-Dade targets free cybersecurity protection pact

Miami-Dade may soon shore up its digital safeguard systems: lawmakers have ordered Mayor Carlos Giménez to obtain at least one free deal for cybersecurity protections here.
Commissioners unanimously backed Jose “Pepe” Diaz’s measure, co-sponsored by Sally Heyman, directing the mayor to make confidential “cybersecurity agreements with other governmental units at no cost to the county.”
